Purl bullion for Goldwork
Purl bullion is a metal thread wound in a tight spiral. It is used to make splendid embroideries (known as Goldwork and Zardozi). To do so, simply cut it into fragments and use it like a bead. It can also be embroidered over a relief of felt, cord or card.
It is sold in 10 g bags (3 to 7 metres of purl bullion per bag, depending on the reference).
